Challenge

To provide enhanced 4G/3G voice and data service to the over 1 million square feet, multi building campus combining 1900 MHz, iDEN 800/900 MHz and 2.5 GHz frequency bands.

GIANT Solution

By utilizing a unique combination of base station fiber remote units, combiner networks and an ADC InterReach Fusion DAS system, GIANT engineers were able to utilize the inherent output power of the required base stations to enhance the coverage of many of the buildings without the need to purchase expensive fiber DAS components. They were then able to design around these areas with fiber DAS equipment only where further enhancement was needed, thereby reducing both equipment and construction costs while simultaneously providing a robust coverage solution.
